Survey Results

As of today, I received 16 responses to the survey that I released. I received 10 responses from males, and 6 from females. They were primarily sophomores, several seniors, a few juniors, and no freshman. One thing that surprised me is that most people weren't involved in a club at all. Several people were involved in only one club. Only a few people were involved in four or more clubs. A lot of people believed that posters on the wall were the best way to advertise clubs. The morning announcements was another popular method of advertisement.
My goal in mind was to figure out whether bulletin boards would be a logical and convenient method to advertise new clubs. I asked a lot of questions on how people viewed club advertisements, but I didn't ask specifically about bulletin boards. If I could redo this survey, I would ask whether people would enjoy bulletin boards specifically for announcing new clubs.

Marketing Real Project

Our group discussed putting bulletin boards around RMHS in order to advertise new clubs. Currently, posters that advertise clubs are placed around the school, but not in any particular place. Because they are placed in the halls and in the stalls of bathrooms, it is likely that they will be taken down or moved. If bulletin boards are placed around the school, that creates a few central locations for posters to go. If students are interested in joining a club, they can go to a bulletin board in order to help them decide. Here are three things that we can do to popularize the bulletin boards in the school:
1. Talk to Mr. McSweeney or Mr. Bakr to get permission and advice to advertise new clubs with bulletin boards.
2. Get people to donate money or hold fundraisers in order to pay for several bulletin boards.
3. Put up bulletin boards and spread the word for people to hear about this new addition to our school.
